An extremely interesting meeting on medical tourism took place on February 10-12, 2011 in Istanbul (Turkey). The initiative undertaken by Uniglobal Utilities aroused great interest among the participants. Numerous issues related with ‘crossing the borders’ in search of medical services were brought up during the session. The group of professionals from all around the world included also Dr Jerzy Kolasinski, who shared his over 20 years experience in medical services provided to foreigners with the participants. His presentation generated huge interest. Both plenary sessions as well as unofficial talks confirmed how important the discussed issues were during the Congress.
