Poznań hosted 6th Casualty Surgery Symposium of the Wielkopolska region on October 16-17, 2008 organized by Surgery Clinic for Casualty and Plastic Surgery in Poznań managed by professor Krzysztof Słowiński. The main topics covered during the session included multi-organ injuries. One of the numerous and interesting sessions also touched upon the issue of reconstructive surgery of soft tissues. Hence, dr Jerzy Kolasiński delivered a lecture on: Hair loss treatment algorithm. It aroused a huge interest among the participants and the comments made afterwards emphasized a huge, i.e. more than 24-year-long, experience of the Kolasiński Clinic in the reconstructive treatment of head and face hair loss. Most often hair loss in those regions does not distort the functioning of the body, however, it is an extremely crucial matter for esthetics since hair reconstruction surgery is of key importance for a man and his normal functioning in a community.
