Spanish Valencia hosted 7th International Congress of Anti-Aging Medicine on October 2-5, 2008. The group of numerous lecturers from all over the world also included Polish doctors such as professor Maciej Kurpisz, from the Institute of Human Genetics of the Polish Academy of Sciences and Anna Modelska- Ziółkiewicz (MD, PhD) from the Kolasiński Clinic, President of the Polish Society of Anti-Aging Medicine and Deputy Secretary General of the European Society of Anti-Aging Medicine. Dr Ramon Vila Rovira (Barcelona, Spain), befriended with the Kolasiński Clinic, was also one of the congress lecturers. The session encompassed the issues of genetics, stem cells, brain aging, oxidizing stress or physical activity including sexual one, whereas the session devoted to the changes in the immune and hormonal systems accompanying aging processes as well as to the role of antioxidants in preventing early aging aroused a huge interest among the participants. A great attention was also drawn to esthetic medicine.
The beautiful weather in Valencia was an incentive to leave the conference rooms and visit this impressive city located at the Mediterranean Sea.
