As usual the surgeons interested in the latest trends in plastic and esthetic surgery assembled in New York in November to participate in an intensive course on corrective surgeries of face and breast. This time the organizers managed to invite such prominent specialists as dr Sherrell J. Aston (USA), dr Daniel G. Becker (USA), dr Thomas M. Biggs (USA), Dr Ruth Graf (Brazil), dr Per Heden (Sweden) and dr Carlos O. Uebel (Brazil). The guest list would not have been complete without such pioneers of esthetic surgery as dr Yves G. Illouz (France), dr Daniel Marchac (France) or dr John B. Tenetts.
During film sessions, the symposium participants had an opportunity to go into the matter of the latest surgical techniques. Also, numerous lectures and discussions enabled the participants to exchange their views on esthetic surgery.
Dr Jerzy Kolasiński took part in the symposium as well. It is worth noticing that this year the group of Polish doctors has been much more numerous than as it was during the previous years. It shows how well this area of medicine is being developed in Poland.
