On September 19-22 in Rio de Janeiro 22 International Society Congress of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery took place, the world’s largest society gathering of aesthetic plastic surgeons. The Congress was in two halls of the Windsor Barra Hotel, which is situated on the beachfront of the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. Attendees were able to expand their knowledge at many thematic courses. The longest time of the session was spent on breast surgery. Holistic treatment combines surgery and less invasive techniques which improve face volumetry and skin condition. One of the topic was on the trend of using fat tissue in face lifting. The best plastic surgeons from around the world took part of this congress. The guest of honour was Professor Ivo Pitanguy from Brazil, a world famous plastic and aesthetic surgeon. Dr. Jerzy Kolasiński was also an attendee of the Conference and gave a presentation about shave method in gynecomasty treating. The meeting was also the perfect opportunity for the plastic surgeons around the world to network. The Congress was located in an area of beautiful beaches with amazing wildlife. Rio de Janeiro was a host city for FIFA World Cup this year and will also host the 2016 Summer Olympics. Visiting a city as diverse as Rio was clearly a case of work and pleasure.
